Oval Pie Dish 33cm 33cm (13") classic oval pie dish from Mason Cash which is an established kitchenware brand, the origins of Mason Cash can be traced back to a pottery already operating at Church Gresley in around 1800. The location was due to a plentiful supply of clay and coal, the raw materials of pottery. The company's products, made from white and cane glazed earthenware, are sometimes known as 'yellow ware' due to the colour of the local clay. The company was run by a series of Master Potters, one of whom was 'Bossy' Mason who took over towards the end of the 19th century. Tom Cash acquired the pottery in 1901 and gave it the name Mason Cash & Co., a name still used when his son incorporated the company in 1941. This original design classic round baking dish is well known to the cook producing classic English dishes as steak & kidney pie and beef and ale pie and deserts such as apple pie, apple and blackberry crumble but to name a few, a must in any kitchen, Ideally suited to the rigours of busy cafés, hotels, restaurants, bistros, pubs, guest houses and b & b's.
